Cherie began her journey at Hunter Withers in tax administration, where she built a strong understanding of IRD systems, tax processes, and the day-to-day support our clients need. She has since moved into an accounting role, taking the next step in her career and building her skills across a wider range of accounting work.

Cherie also brings plenty of practical business experience to the role. Before joining Hunter Withers, she and her husband ran a sharemilking business together, and they now run their own kiwifruit orchard business. Being involved in the day-to-day running of these businesses has given Cherie a good understanding of accounting systems, business administration and the realities that come with running a business.

That hands-on experience, together with her background in tax administration, has given Cherie a great foundation as she continues to grow her accounting knowledge. She enjoys learning new things, taking on new challenges, and helping both clients and the wider Hunter Withers team wherever she can.

Outside of work, Cherie is kept busy with family life and the orchard. When she is not helping there, you will often find her taxiing her two school-aged children between their various activities and events.

Cherie brings plenty of warmth, energy, and a down-to-earth approach to the team, and she is looking forward to continuing to grow in her accounting career while supporting our clients along the way.
